- Water based products: for the reduction of the environmental impact of the rotogravure process;
- Active Packaging: for the development of antimicrobial films;
- Electronic nose: to check the residual odour in packages;
- High pressure treatments: for new sterilization processes.

Atmospheric pressure plasma treatments can modify roughness and chemical composition of film surface and increase the surface energy on line during rotogravure process enhance polymer printability.
